MANDATORY CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
Accessibility Statement (Article 42 of Law 4727/2020)
The Municipality of Larissa is committed to making its website www.larissa.gov.gr accessible, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette 184 A, September 23, 2020, as currently in force), particularly Chapter H “Digital Accessibility (Transposition into Greek law of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies)».
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.larissa.gov.gr.
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with the current harmonized European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 (2021-03) (WCAG 2.1 / Level AA). The UserWay accessibility plugin has been integrated into the website; it is powered by a dedicated accessibility server (offering a range of features for people with disabilities—including those with visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor function). This plugin supports the most accessible website design possible, addressing most accessibility issues for WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Inaccessible content
Pursuant to Article 37(3)(e) of Law 4727/2020, the content of third-party websites is exempt. This provision applies to third-party websites other than www.larissa.gov.gr, which are accessible via links.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on December 13, 2023.
The assessment of the website’s compliance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was conducted through a self-assessment carried out by the Municipality of Larissa using two accessibility testing tools (accessmonitor.acessibilidade.gov.pt, ace.useit.se/ax/aceit.php).
The statement was last revised on March 19, 2026.
Submission of Comments and Contact Information
In accordance with the provisions of subparagraph b, paragraph 4 of Article 42 of Law 4727/2020, any interested party may submit comments regarding any accessibility issues identified on the website (Article 45 of Law 4727/ 2020), inform the Municipality of Larissa of any failure of the website to comply with accessibility requirements, and request any missing information, in accordance with Articles 37, paragraph 3, and 40 of Law 4727/2020.
To the Municipality of Larissa, the above must be submitted via a written request by the interested party, which must be submitted in writing to the Protocol Office of the Municipality of Larissa (1 Ionos Dragoumi St., P.O. Box 41222, Larissa) or via email to protokolo@larissa.gov.gr (for registration of the request). For any request related solely to the website, its operation, and its content, please contact the IT Support Department by email at webmaster@larissa.gov.gr.
Procedure
The relevant department of the Municipality of Larissa responds to the interested party in an appropriate manner.
In the event of an unsatisfactory response to the inquiry or to the requests under Article 45 of Law 4727/2020 “Submission of comments, requests for information, and reports,” the interested party may contact the Ombudsman by email at press@synigoros.gr.

The Municipality of Larissa continues its efforts to continuously improve the accessibility of its website, always with the aim of ensuring equal and unimpeded use by everyone, regardless of physical abilities or the technology they have access to. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards.
